MacAce.net - a 24 Mb Broadband Services for Mac Users

It is easy to see why Mac users are so in love with the brand. Apple, which has often rewarded its loyal user base has come out and launched a new broadband service dedicated to Mac users.

The new service, MacAce.net, will be an ‘Always On’ connection with speeds ‘up to’ 24 Mb. The ADSL2+ service will be provided using BT’s 21CN network, capable of upload speeds of 1 Mb. According to the company, the service will be free of broadband throttling, as traffic shaping or other restrictions would not affect it.

There are three packages to choose from depending on how much peak download limit you need. All packages have unlimited off-peak download limit. The ‘Lite’ package will allow a peak download limit of 10 Gb and would cost £16.49 a month. The package also includes 5 email accounts and 1 Gb of web space on ‘MacMate’. For a 30 Gb download limit you can choose the ‘Pro’ service at £24.39 a month and even if that does not suffice, go for the 60Gb package at £29.29 a month. The connection charge for all three packages would be £46.
