One of the Leaders of the Information Technology Industry
India-born Naveen Jain, co-founder of two successful information commerce firms, is definitely one of the leaders of the IT industry. His outstanding career stretches years of utilizing the Internet as a commercial medium and a venue for creating some of the most innovative and indispensable software products and services. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Xavier School of Management in India, he moved from the country of his birth to Washington, USA to pursue his career.
His considerable technical expertise and aggressive work ethics were demonstrated while working for software technology giant Microsoft where he was part of the launching of the MSN Network. After a seven-year stint with Bill Gates’ software giant, Naveen Jain left Microsoft to form InfoSpace, a company that provides metasearch services. In 2002, he left the company only to found Intelius in January 2003.
His most recent brainchild is a public records company that provides a wide array of information-based services that enable consumers to perform background checks at a low price. Naveen Jain serves as the CEO of the said company.
Naveen Jain and several of his colleagues from InfoSpace conceptualized Intelius. Dissatisfied with the way the Internet churns out irrelevant information for most of its users, the IT entrepreneur set out to develop a system that could utilize the Internet more efficiently as a medium to disseminate information. The system works so well that Intelius is now a renowned provider of predictive intelligence that facilitates decision-making processes, ensuring clients the safety of their family and their assets.
Under Naveen Jain’s leadership, the company has helped millions of people access information that give them peace of mind. Naveen Jain and Intelius have been nominated for a number of prestigious business awards including the 2006 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, the 2006 Stevie Award for Best New Company, the 2007 CODiE Award for Best Online Consumer Service, and the 2007 Stevie Award for Most Innovative Company.
