Chorion Villus Sampling
A Chorion Villus Sampling (CVS) is a medical test performed on mothers to be during 12 to 14 weeks of pregnancy. It is commonly carried out to identify Downs Syndrome, but it is also applicable to the studying and detection of other genetic conditions.
